Marketing could be regarded as an industry in its own right, just on spend alone.  In a survey in 2006 the Marketing spend in the USA alone was calculated to exceed $1.8 trillion, whilst in a recent survey of European marketing departments 40% reported that their budget exceeded 5% of their company’s revenue, with 4% reporting that their budget exceed 20 % of revenue.  Yet surprisingly there are very few companies which have developed comprehensive software solutions for the whole of marketing.  The number of companies with such proven offerings can be counted on one hand and in that small specialist field net|ways is an acknowledged leader.
